Trying to find support for Yervant’s Page Gallery is like finding a needle in a haystack. It takes weeks to get a reply from the Yervant website and the only support forum I know is at DWF which is for exclusive photographers only. First I think that’s pretty crazy to have a support forum for your product on a website that is only open to Wedding Photographers only. I paid $550.00 with the Photoshop extensions and for that kind of money there should be far better support. Clearly with Yervant’s Page Gallery you do not get what you pay for. At least the very popular rival software You Select It has their own dedicated forums for support and questions about their software. So if you are an individual who requires support for your product, then Yervant’s Page Gallery is definitely not a good choice at all.

It’s funny, while trying to find some sort of forum support for Yervant’s Page Gallery I was checking out Google and clicking the cache links which is a trick to gain access to private forums such as DWF. I found several links through the cache system that allowed me to read posts about Yervant’s Page Gallery. To my surprise I found several people complaining about the lack of support as well. Amazing!!

This leaves me with two options that I can fully recommend. They are You Select It (YSI) which just released a new 1.90 version and Fotofusion. Both of these are great and I would definitely consider them over Yervant’s Page Gallery and Pixel Creator Pro now that I know that support and licensing issues plague both applications.

Do check out You Select it. Their new release is very very good. It does have some bugs in it, but I think they are working very hard to fix them.

I`d like to start off by making a slight amendment to my comments in my previous post about how great Pixel Creator Post was.  I still agree with my comments, but I have now discovered one major flaw or shall I say annoyance with Pixel Creator Pro.  I really find the registration system very disturbing with the product.  In order to activate the software you have to provide an 8 digit hardware key code in order to receive your license code.  This is fine if you are a big company like Microsoft and can afford to stay on top of your support and licensing system.  What happens though if Pixel Creator Pro should ever abandon ship?  What happens if you buy a new computer and need to transfer the product which is all too common.  In fact I just bought a new computer last week and I`m still waiting for Pixel Creator Pro support to issue me a new license key so that I can transfer the software. 

I really hope Pixel Creator Pro comes up with a new system for licensing their products, because I find this idea of their to be very inconvenient.  So, if you buy Pixel Creator Pro, you better be careful about which computer you put it on and hope that you don`t get a new one any time soon.  With Pixel Creator Pro, your hands are tied!!  With that said, the program itself is still good and I highly recommend it for creating Wedding Album Templates and pages in Photoshop.  If you are bothered about the ridiculous licensing system like I am, then there are still plenty of other options out there like You Select it (YSI), Yervant`s Page Gallery, and LumaPix Fotofusion.
