In Japan it is very important to have lots of business or name cards on hand when presenting yourself to people. I also carry a handful of photography cards with me like the example above. I don’t usually have my phone number on the card because my number changes often. However, I find people email using their phones with no problem at all. In addition, you will notice that I have everything in English. Japanese translation is not necessary when presenting basic information. Also having some sort of photo on the card both front and back is a good idea.
These cards were printed and purchased from a company called Vista Print. They were very reasonably priced and the shipping to Japan was fabulous although I did have to wait about three weeks to get them. The business cards were created in photoshop and then uploaded to Vista Print for processing.
To do this very same design and printing in Japan would have been pretty expensive, not to mention the fact you would need to explain everything in Japanese.
