Some people have emailed me asking where I live in Japan. By car, I live about 5 minutes from Zenkoji, Temple which is located at the heart of Nagano-city. So you might say I live in Nagano city. Zenkoji is connected to the city which means I have a HUGE area to cover for all kinds of interesting photography. Whether it’s shooting people, street scenes, history, or whatever, I don’t have to travel far to find it. Of course I also like to head into the city like Tokyo and Yokohama because I lived there for almost 10 years, but I also like the countryside for it’s different photo opportunities. When I do photoshoots, I can travel to any part of Japan, but I usually hang out with other shooters in Tokyo, Yokohama, and of course Nagano.
