A while back I did a photoshoot in Nagano Japan on the topic of High Key and using Flash. The following photographs and others were entirely shot using Nikon SB-800 flashes. This is a popular topic with a lot of friends who I shoot with and so when we get a chance to meet, we enjoy exploring the topic as much as we can. Models are compliments of Magee Salon in Japan and Charisma Hair Stylist Yoyo Miyazawa who worked the hair styles, make up, fasion, and provided other fantastic stylists to assist with the shoot. Some post processing was done in Photoshop to achieve each individual’s desired look.

If anyone is interested in meeting in the Tokyo, Yokohama, or Nagano areas to work on some high key fashion shoots using flash and other resources, please contact me and I would be more than happy to get something going again. I can provide stylists, assistants, and models of course. A photoshop technique exchange is also incorporated for sharing post processing information.
