Late last summer I photographed this butterfly while out hiking in the Alps. Actually I was out on a BBQ with my family up in the mountains and I spent some time roaming around the trees looking for things to photograph. Normally I am not much of a nature enthusiast with regards to photography, but there are some things that stand out which are fun to shoot. Although I got a good green background in the photo, I elected to convert it to black and white and keep the butterfly in color. For me it seemed to be the right touch to capture the image I was looking for. Enjoy!
