Today I just ordered a an Apollo JS Softbox with Recessed Front 50×50″ for my SB800s. I have heard a lot of great things about this softbox along with some great photographs. Being in Japan and often doing location shooting, I neeeded a softbox that was large and easy to setup. Hopefully this softbox will work out well with the Nikon SB800s. I’ll post some photographs of the softbox setup along with some sample photos once I receive the package probably next week after the New Year. With Seijinshiki coming up here in Japan, the Wescott Apollo 50×50 softbox should work wonders.
Here is some additional info about the softbox - The Westcott Apollo JS is a softbox based on an umbrella frame. It needs no speed ring to attach it to a flash head. Simply open it, and slide the shaft into the umbrella receptor on the flash head. A lightweight reflector plate may be purchased separately to produce indirect lighting. The softbox was designed by distinguished lecturer and Westcott technical advisor James Schmelzer.

On a different note, here is a photo taken a couple of days ago of another Japanese Ryokan that might interest a few.
