Last week in the mail I received a couple of certificates from “The Picture Perfect School of Photography” recognizing the completion of both the “Understanding Exposure” course and the “Electronic Flash - The Mystery Revealed”.  I scanned a copy of the certificate if anyone is interested in seeing what it looked like.  I thought it was a very nice gesture and it’s always nice to have something that shows achievement.  It would have been cool to actually have these signed, but I understand that may have been difficult.  Nonetheless, it was a nice surprise and another plus over Betterphoto in my opinion.

On another note, I’ve decided to actually take an additional course from PPSOP entitled “Lens Choice, Lens Choice, Lens Choice” taught by Joe McNally and Laurie Excell.  I’m still thinking about another one of Bryan’s follow-up courses like “Compelling Photographs - The Art of Composition” or “Themes and Concepts - Beyond the ‘Obvious’ “, but I’m pretty sure they will be an exact rehash of the book “Learning to See Creatively”.  I have this book and it’s fabulous, but I’m not sure that I want to spend another $195.00 just to have it presented to me again.  I thought the Lense Choice class might be nice in that it’s taught by a different instructor and the fact that they don’t have a book to base the class on so it should have some new content.  We’ll see.  Regardless, PPSOP does get me out shooting and perhaps that is the underlying reason for taking such courses.
