I recently received my copy of the new AF Speedlight Flash System book by Magic Lantern. I really like this book very much because it offers quite a bit more in depth information than the SB800 manual. I can easily slip this book in my bag and read up on some of the settings whenever I have a moment. Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of practice with the SB-800, SU-800, and Nikon D200. Particularly I’ve been working on more off camera flash techniques and shooting the flash in Manual Mode versus the Auto modes. Although I have a Quantum Turbo 2×2 battery pack, I also picked up some MAHA PowerEX 2700mAh rechargeable batteries and MAHA MH-C801D charger to power up the SB-800. This should lighten up the load a tad bit although I absolutely love the Quatum Turbo 2×2 when I need the juice!
