Other than the Kata bags which I have mentioned in a previous post, I also use LowePro quite a bit. They are actually becoming my favorite bags because they are very durable, look good, and I am able to organize my gear quite nicely. Here’s what I have.
LowePro Toploader 70AW - I have two of these one for my D200 with grip and my D70s with the Harbortronics grip. The Toploader 70AW is fabulous for carrying these cameras along with a 12-24mm, 17-55mm, or 28-70mm zoom lense for example. I can also carry an SB800 in the front pocket. You can also opt to attach a 50mm to your camera and then tuck a 35mm at the bottom of the bag as well. I sometimes do this if I want to shoot prime only for practice.
LowePro Toploader 75AW - This is the same bag as above except it allows me to carry my D70s/D200 with the 70-200mm VR lense attached and hood reversed. Sometimes I don’t want to switch lenses or carry this separately, so having a toploader or holster that will allow me to just grab the camera and shoot is fabulous.
LowePro Sliplock Pouch 30 - I use this small bag/pouch to carry my portable storage device PD70x attached to the toploaders above. The fit is perfect.
LowePro Sliplock Pouch 50 - I use this larger bag/pouch to carry either 1 SB800 or my Epson P-4000 image viewer and portable storage device. These also fit very well.
LowePro Utility Case - The case is great for carrying a couple of SB800s or small accessories such as SC-29 cords, batteries, filters, ML-3 Remote, MC-36 Remote, SU-800 etc.Â
LowePro Lense Case 1 - I have one of these for carrying any of my smaller prime or zoom lenses. This case can be attached to the Toploaders I mentioned above.
LowePro Lense Case 4 - This lense case is fabulous for carrying the 70-200mm VR lense with hood reversed. I usually attach this to the side of my 70AW Toploader so that I can carry both the 70-200mm and 17-55mm together. You can also use a strap and carry this over your shoulder if you want as well.
LowePro Lense Case 4S - The 4S lense case is great for carrying a lense with a wider lense hood like the 28-70mm which I use a lot. This also is a sliplock case so you can attach it to anything like the Toploaders above.
LowePro Bottle Bag - Great for carrying a water bottle or canned drink. This can attach to the 70AW Toploader or your belt.
Lowepro S&F Light Utility Belt - This is a great lightweight belt for attaching any of the items listed above. During the summer here in Japan, it’s great to carry a light load. This belt allows me to carry the things I need on the waste for easy access.
Again, I’ll do my best to include some photos of what these bags look like with the geat I’m using which I have listed in my about page.
