This is an shot using a Tilt Shift Lens Blur technique in Photoshop CS3. I am so glad I was able to find a way to do this as it is just what the doctor ordered with some of my photos. This one in particular I think works well with a tilt shift lens blur. I am looking forward to shooting more for this technique in future photoshoots in Japan.

Today I was out hanging around these railroad tracks I live by. This particular area of the tracks is quite cool because there are no fences and you can literally walk out onto the tracks if you want to. Anyway, while I was sitting and waiting for some trains to pass I happened to look up and saw these metallic wires, poles, and what not. I took a shot of what I saw above thinking it was probably a wasted shot. However, when I got home, I whipped up one of my custom Photoshop cocktails and whoa! The photograph suddenly came to life. I think it looks pretty cool and it gives me something to later explore by shooting some more of those railroad power lines. It goes to show that you sometimes never know what you are going to get until you get back to the computer. Enjoy!
